Principal's Message

I extend a warm welcome to all of you on the portals of this grand edifice of learning.

With the heavenly blessings of Pt. Mohan Lal JI, Sh. Upkar Krishan Sharma Ji, worthy President Ms. Vaishali Sharma and our mentors at GGDSD Society, Chandigarh, PTMLSD has become a symbol of women's education and empowerment. Our constant endeavour at PTMLSD has always been to empower our students through education. The committed and supportive management, dedicated teachers, cooperative parents and responsive students blend harmoniously to create a student-centric institution where success stories are scripted.

The college has earned a reputation not only for its innovative practices and creative approach but also for performing its responsibility towards society by spreading awareness about social and national issues. We have tried our best to prepare women with an enlightened mind, high values, a sense of responsibility, professional skills and a compassionate approach. Proudly, it may be mentioned that during its voyage, PTMLSD has been quenching the thrust for knowledge and higher studies of thousands of students and elevating the women folk for a dignified life.

S.D. College has established itself as a high-quality education provider by inculcating holistic learning and imbibing competitive abilities in students. Academically, the students have come out with cent percent results, even scoring top positions and getting distinctions in PSEB and GNDU exams. Moreover, our students have performed well and have brought laurels to the college in other field like sports, inter-college events and Youth Festival. Workshops, FDPs, PDPs, Conferences, Community Service, Sports, NSS, Outreach Programmes, Field Visits and Project Work help our teachers and students to grow up.

Dear students, you on your part should also make the best of your stay in the institution. Let your potentials come to the fore by thinking in terms of success. We are ever ready to extend any type of help, may it be in the form of liberal concessions of infusing skills, training in extra-curricular activities and studies, so that no girl is deprived of education due to financial inadequacy. You have joined this institution with a lot of expectations and we assure you that every endeavour will be focussed on helping you to realise your goals of education.
