WEB DESIGNING (OFFLINE)

The Department of Computer Science of Pt. Mohan Lal S.D. College for Women, Gurdaspur organized one month short term course on Web Designing. The eligibility criterion was above the 15 year age group. The main purpose of this course is to understand the very basics of web designing and knowing the components of a web page. The course instructor Mr. Ashwani Kumar covered the basics of HTML (Hyper Text markup Language) and CSS (Cascade Style Sheets). HTML is a markup language which means it consists of markup tags which the browser understands. It is case Insensitive and does not need any compiler. It is directly understood by the browser and displays the requested information by the user.

Web Design involves planning, building out, and maintaining websites. The skills and disciplines involved with Web Design include Graphic Design, Interface Design, Coding, Search Engine Optimization, and more.

In the latest trends Web Designing is the very rapidly developing field in the present market and has attracted many new developers. In the future, Web Designing will be playing a more vital role as the Internet is being used for marketing, banking, examining, and almost everything. From a career perspective, web design is a good option/opportunity for starting a career in the IT industry. Web designers design websites, web pages and web applications for government or non-government organizations, businesses, industries, and corporate firms to establish their identity online.
