31 Jan 2023 ↑ COMMERCE DEPARTMENT ORGANISED A THREE DAY NATIONAL ONLINE WORKSHOP ON 27TH, 28TH AND 30TH JANUARY, 2023

Pt. Mohan Lal SD College for Women, Gurdaspur is always commited to help students and faculty members in their academics and research areas. Our emphasize is on conducting awareness sessions, PDPs, orientation sessions and to inculcate research aptitude amongst faculty and students . So, moving in this direction, Commerce Department organised a three day National Online workshop on 27th, 28th and 30th January, 2023 respectively in which more than 100 faculty members and PG students from different institutes all over India like Bangalore, Tamilnadu, Banaras Ahmadabad, Maharashtra etc. have participated. A summarised report on workshop is as given below :

DAY 1
Topic ‘Ethical Issues in Research’
Resource person: Dr. Ekjot Kaur, Assistant Prof. in Commerce, DAV College Jalandhar.
The resource person touched the various ethical aspects of research with the help of PPT. During her session, the participants got to know about the ethical issues in Research and the softwares used for checking plagiarism and how much plagiarism is acceptable. She gave answers to all the queries of participants very effectively.
DAY 2
Topic Formulation of Research proposal
Resource Person: Dr. Sanjay Patel, Assistant Prof. in Commerce, Central University Ajmer, Rajasthan.
Sir gave a brief idea about the meaning of Research proposal. He told that our research topic should be precise and narrative. He then talked about the features of a good research proposal. After this session the participants learned about

DAY 3 " Thesis Writing "
Resource Person : Dr. M.M Gopala krishna
Associate Professor , School of Business and Management Christ deemed to be University , Benguluru, Karnataka .
Sir , through a power point presentation gave an introduction about 'Thesis Writing' .
He said that thesis is a long piece of writing on a particular subject . He also elaborated the components of thesis . He said that cover / title page , Abstract , list of tables , List of figures, chapters ,Reference and annexures etc. are few of the contents of thesis .
Mrs Seema Mahajan , HOD Commerce department , thanked all the dignitaries and participants for making this workshop a grand success.
College Principal also proposed a vote of thanks to all the resource persons and appreciated the efforts of the entire commerce department . At last feedback form was shared with all the participants . Certificate of participation was also given to all the participants .
